CSG West was pleased to facilitate its most recent WESTRAIN program, “Communicating Clearly in a Complex World,” led by speechwriter Sarada Peri for senior staff in the California State Assembly and Senate. Drawing on her experience in the Oval Office and beyond, Sarada shared practical strategies to help participants write with greater clarity and better articulate messages to colleagues, constituents, and stakeholders. CSG West extends its thanks to Jessica Reynolds of the Senate Rules Committee and Myesha Jackson of the Assembly Capitol Institute for hosting the session.
The WESTRAIN program connects legislative leaders and staff with expert trainers to deliver customized, nonpartisan professional development opportunities. Selected trainers are recognized leaders in their fields, offering sessions designed to strengthen leadership, communication, and policy skills. Trainings are provided as a member service at the request of legislative leadership.
