The Fiscal State Of The West And Preparing For The Future Of Work

Western states faced significant fiscal uncertainty and challenges to meet their needs due to the COVID-19 pandemic while also maintaining an eye towards the future. Hosted by the CSG West Westrends Board, this session provided a high-level overview of the state fiscal condition in the region and a look at what states, in collaboration with private, nonprofit and other stakeholders, did to prepare for the future of work. A preview of CSG’s report on the future of work highlighting innovative programs and initiatives and recommendations was also shared.
