Jennifer Schanze

Jennifer has been with The Council of State Governments West (CSG West) since 2011 and is the organization’s Director of Operations, having previously served as office manager. She leads all aspects of operations, overseeing the administrative and meetings teams in support of office functions and comprehensive meeting logistics for all CSG West events.

Her role as lead for both the organization and execution of CSG West’s annual meeting involves a wide array of logistics, including venue analysis and selection, macro- and micro-event scheduling and staffing organization. She also serves as liaison with the host state for each of these marquee events.

Jennifer also is part of CSG West’s development team, cultivating private- sector relationships and deliverings key sponsor benefits. Additionally, she staffs CSG West’s Legislative Service Agency & Research Directors committee of non-partisan staff directors.

One of Jennifer’s key operational roles involves working closely with the CSG West Director to manage and conduct budget analysis, oversee accounts payable and receivables, and produce detailed financial reports.

Jennifer holds a Master of Business Administration degree and a Bachelor of Business degree with a focus on Operations Management from California State University-Sacramento.
