12:30-2:15 PM | General Session Lunch & Keynote – Matthew Griffin All attendees and registered guests are invited to enjoy lunch in conjunction with the scheduled 74th Annual Meeting opening ceremony. After graduating from West Point, Matthew Griffin served four tours of duty as an Army Ranger in Afghanistan and Iraq. After leaving the Army, he channeled his experience and knowledge to co-found Combat Flip Flops which encourages peace through trade, or “business over bullets”. Honoring his intention to create positive change in the world, Griffin has helped to fund the education of over 800 girls in Northern Afghanistan, founded 46&2 – a nonprofit organization helping transitioning veterans overcome PTSD, and participated in documentary films such as Adventure Not War: Ski Iraq and Here Am I, Send Me. A firm believe that “anything worth doing is worth overdoing”, Griffin shares his story of chasing big goals inspiring others to do the same. |
